Hundreds of trick-or-treaters were saddened Halloween night upon learning the king-sized candy handed out at a Si View house were just giant Necco Wafers. “Disgusting” said North Bend Elementary student Sadie Andrews, upon discovering the bland, chalk-like candy in her bag. “My baby sister actually cried when she saw that,” Sadie added.
The Si View family that handed out the revolting, flavorless candy had no comment for this article.
Necco Wafers were first produced in 1847. Production of the candy went on hiatus in July 2018, but returned in May 2020 to the disappointment of many.
