Snoqualmie Man Becoming Hermit To Avoid Further Seattle Hockey Conversations

Slowly going insane from every single person talking about “last night’s Seattle Kraken game,” Jeff Robinett, (now former) resident of Snoqualmie, has carefully prepared a secret forest hideout on Mount Teneriffe in a hopeless attempt to escape any addition casual discussion of Seattle’s newest fascination.

“Everyone is obsessed.  At work, at school, at soccer practice, at the bar - it’s every conversation these days – totally withdrawing from society and becoming a hermit on Mount Teneriffe seems like a small price to pay to not hear one more goddamn person brag about how they scored tickets to last night’s game, how amazing Climate Pledge Arena is, how our goalie really sucks, or how ‘tonight’s game is really going to tell us a lot about the team,’” Robinett explained, exasperated.

The Kraken are a new professional ice hockey team based in Seattle and the latest trendy conversation topic around the Puget Sound region. Apparently, the Kraken compete as a member of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference.  They also play their home games at the chic Climate Pledge Arena, which is just the newly renamed Key Arena, (which was really just the old Seattle Center Coliseum).
